The song of two crows
There is no east,
There is no west,
There are no white crows,
There are no black crows,
There is only one all-pervasive Dharma.
All is east,
All is west,
All are white crows,
All are black crows,
There is no difference to the all-pervasive Mind.
O Noble One,
Have patience
And compassion
For all the green tomatoes of the world
who haven’t yet ripened to their full color.

Sky dancer’s song for young Tulku
Seeker,
In this time of abundance,
regard this time as time of abundant distraction.
Instead of seeking moving images,
seek the immovable mind.
Seek the mind that is like the earth,
seek the mind that is like fire,
seek the mind that is like water,
seek the mind that is like space.
Seeker,
In this time of great distraction
a colorful play of illusion amplifies your desires,
like walking on a high rope
keep your balance,
the stronger the wind,
the greater skill is required.
Ground yourself in perfect equanimity,
desires of the world are pulling you in all directions,
like demons trying to steal your heart.
Do not fall into lower realms,
this is the great time to tame your mind.

Meditation
Every drop is falling
like every drop is the first drop,
ecchoing in the darkness of the cave.
Every breath is like unborn emptiness,
every mind is like one mind,
there is no time and space,
in the dance of silence
the wind is making shapes out of fallen leaves
there is no I.
About Dharma songs
In Buddhist tradition going back 2500 years, it is common for practitioners to express their knowledge and experience in a form of a poem. So called “realisation songs” are a form of art, meditation tool, and a teaching all in one. The main reason for that is that it is said that true nature of reality cannot be expressed in words. Therefore the song provides a metaphore about the truth (dharma) and a path pointer to the true nature of reality.
